Bush Doesn't Disappoint, Picks Alito for Supreme Court

This is great news. President Bush announced this morning that he has chosen Samuel Alito to replace Sandra Day O'Connor on the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Alito is said to be to "have a record that shows a commitment to a strict interpretation of the Constitution." The Democrats are already trying to label him as an extremists, but I welcome the fight. Now that President Bush has stepped up and picked a true conservative, the Republicans must not waver and fight for Alito in the Senate. If the Democrats filibuster and the Republicans have to use the "nuclear option" then so be it. -JW-
